I'am sorry, Tom, but Mighty Avengers selling low is not only on the readers. The team is never mentioned and never appears outside of their own comics. They have zero visibility in the MU. Blue Marvel was Uatu’s best friend, yet not a single word about him in Original Sin.

Also readers tend to prefer comics that “matter”. Comics that they feel have an impact on the whole Marvel U. That’s a stupid mentality and that’s to blame on the readers. But the fact that knowing that, editors and writers don’t let series like MA have a bigger impact on the MU, that’s to blame on Marvel.
